Don’t you hate those long winded newletters that give you all the details month by month of little Johnny’s progress through first grade?  Well, here goes:

First of all, I lost my job at the end of 2001 when the Motorola facility where I worked closed down. Not that I let that slow me down much - In addition to the full time job of looking for work, I took the time to visit Mexico for a week to climb the Mayan pyramids and in March went to Peru and hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. (It's GOOD to have lots of frequent flyer miles!... And to be able to mark some things off your Life ToDo list...)

In June the kids and I packed in the car and took a road trip - camping in the Smoky Mountains and visiting in Nashville. I finally got back to work full time in July. The job is in Miami so it’s a bit of a commute but I’m back to working in Latin America (which I enjoy). Took a couple of days off from the new job in September to join siblings David and Mary Ethel at the wedding of David’s daughter Laura in Seattle. It was a nice break and a nice visit.

The kids continue to be kids although aging at a breakneck pace.

Carly is 17 and a Senior in High School, dual enrolled at a local University so that by the time she actually starts college she will just about have a year’s worth of courses complete. Jordan is 14 and a Freshman at the same High School. Hannah will be 13 on December 17th and is in the 8th grade. This means I face the prospect of living in a house with three teenagers at once. I guess that if I wasn’t feeling old already this oughta do it!...

If we haven’t heard from you lately shame on both of us! Give us a call, drop a note or send an email!
