... from Jonathan, who is 12, in the 7th grade at Harding, interested in anything scientific.

... from Robin, who is 10, in the 5th grade, and has a room of her very own for the first time!

... from J.D., who continues to turn out the reading material, such as What Think Ye of Christ's Church?; The God-Killer?; Faith Under Fire; The Martin Luther King Story.

... from Mary, who has been too busy to go to school in spite of a small family, painting (woodwork, that is), sewing, cooking, etc.

... from Barbara Ann and Hugh, who are living in a trailer near the edge of Searcy while he continues his school work at Harding, and she works for the Telephone Company.

... from Mark, who is thoroughly enjoying his role as a Senior at Harding Academy, walking tall (6 ft. 3-plus), and feeling justly superior!

... from Robin, who provides the last frontier of femininity in the Bales household.

... from J.D., whose lecture schedule in the summer took the family from San Diego, Calif. to Winston-Salem, N.C., and several stops in between.

... from Mary, still functioning as chief chauffeur, maid, typist, listener to complaints, etc., etc., and loving it!
