2003 World Series

Marlins v. Yankees

Figuring we had little to lose, we decided to take a shot at getting tickets outside the stadium... It worked BEFORE and if you wait till after the game starts you might actually get a deal on something somebody doesn't want to go to waste...

HOWEVER, in contrast to the two Olympics we have been to, a previous World Series and many pro sporting events, there were NO tickets to be found... After walking around for over a half hour, we had given up and were on our way out when we ran into a couple of guys who actually helped us out (even though we didn't get seats together)...

Getting TO the game was about the biggest hassle... ALL of the parking lots were full and it took us over a half hour to get from the toll booth through this mess...

We ended up parking on the street...

No doubt about there being a full house... In trying to get tickets when they first went on sale (at 10:00AM) I had three computers going on Ticketmaster.com and my phone in a speed dial rotation between four numbers. At 12:30 I finally got through to Ticketmaster (in Nashville!) and was told all tickets were sold. 200,000 tickets in two and a half hours!...
