Easter on Sanibel Island

Since we only live a couple of hours away from Sanibel, actually it's a shame that we don't make over there more often.  But since Mary Ethel and Walt have a place on Sanibel where they always come for Easter, we make a point of at least making the trek once a year. These pictures are from 2001... look elsewhere on the site for some shots from 2000.

The past couple of years we have camped out there over the Easter weekend, making it a little mini-vacation.

The wildlife there is pretty much used to the people as this heron is demonstrating - poking around our tent looking for something to eat...

The Bubble Room is sort of a landmark on Captiva Island, which is the end of the road beyond Sanibel. Lots of little rooms with a lot of clutter crowding the walls, each time you go there can be in a different environment. Around the table above: Walt, Methel, Jordan and Hannah facing Carly, JB, Janet and Robert...

Outside the Bubble Room - an appropriate waiting area for Hannah and Jordan...
