This thing takes place every year over one weekend in May. They close down a few miles of A1A along Fort Lauderdale Beach and depending on the weather, the estimates of the crowd go as high as 1 to 2 million people over the weekend. With stuff going on in both the water and the air it makes for an excellent day's distraction... |

but some half mile out there are wall to wall boats to watch the show from the water
side... Which also makes for a safe corridor for the planes and the boats to
perform... |

Despite the crowds, you can usually stake out a spot on the beach although you might have to fight your way to the water to cool off. (It would take more that a crowded beach to keep Hannah and Jordan out of the water!) |
