Not-quite-ready-for-prime-time but I'm opening it up for public display while I work on it - I spent a week camping and Climbing in the Grand Tetons and extended the trip for a few days in Yellowstone National Park. As usual, I have a lot of pictures to document the adventure so I hope you like...

The Photo Gallery section continues to be updated. Recent additions include: the 2003 Duathlon Series; Race for the Cure; Christmas 2002 and New Years 2003. Check out the New Year's Macy's Parade (which we were in...) at Universal Studios. Fun stuff...

The latest addition to the Family Archives is a page by page rendition of a Photo Scrapbook from 1952 and 1953. My mother both took the pictures and provided the narrative. The first part is a month long trip to Yosemite in 1952 and the second part is from the Summer of 1953 spent in a cottage in Ontario and ending up in New York City. There are a lot of great pictures here making it a remarkable trip back to a time 50 (!) years ago.

The Trek to Machu Picchu. This is the single most extensive section on JonBales.com. Lima, Cuzco, the Sacred Valley, the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu all have their own sections plus there are extras like interactive maps and desktop backgrounds available for download. Take a look... I put a lot of work in on this!!!
A couple of months before the Machu Picchu trip we spent about 10 days in Mexico climbing the Mayan pyramids of the Yucatan. The results of that trip are in the Maya Ruins and Yucatan section. Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Coba are featured as well as Merida and the sights between.
Family Time Line - A Christmas Time Capsule: My Mother sent out a Christmas card with a picture of the family every year from the 1950's until 1997. From 1966 on, the cards included a short recap of the year. This section of the site has almost every one of those cards... the history of a generation in a capsule
The Family Album section... The idea is to create an online archive for all of the historical family photos that we have (and there is quite a bit of material) so I expect this section to grow over time...
