Wildlife...

I don't have as many photos of the wildlife here as I got from Yellowstone, but I have a couple of really awesome shots that I wanted to highlight on their own page...

This has got to be my favorite shot... This deer crossed the road right in front of me giving me just enough time to roll the window down and zoom in as he jumped over the fence. I took this on my way in to Exum Guides on my digital camera so I had to show it to everybody there when I arrived!...

Although not as closely associated with the Grand Tetons as they are with Yellowstone, I did see this sizeable herd of bison making their way across the sagebrush not too far from where I was camped.

Of course there are a lot of other kinds of birds and wildlife including some that I saw but didn't get pictures of (one coyote and a few elk at a distance for example).   Here's a couple other random shots (both taken on the trail up the Grand).

Not sure... This is either a grouse or a pheasant...

This is a marmot.. The only mammal that we saw above the tree line on the ascent. I assume they get by on the rubbish left behind by the many hikers that come along this way...

For more pictures of wildlife, take a look at the Yellowstone section...
