 Lunch Break!...Ya gotta take a break sometimes, right??? We stopped at what I'm recalling as Lupine Meadows (although my fellow trek-mates are welcome to correct me if I am wrong..). At this point it was already getting more chilly (check out the hats & jackets below) especially when sitting for a few minutes after all that walking...

I include this picture as a setup to the one on the right... it's the same waterfall in both shots... Also to give an idea about how the clouds can roll in and change the weather in a short time... Look at the storm clouds above and then the blue skies on the right by the time we had reached the waterfall. |

These shots are on the plateau above the waterfall in the previous two pictures. We filled up water bottles here where the spring comes out of the ground. (We filtered the water ANYWAY thank you very much...) |

I believe these are Orchids of some variety although I can't say for sure and there are conflicting opinions among those I've asked...
