This is where the rubber meets the road and the rope meets the rock... After a couple of days of training and one day off to rest, the four of us - JB, Oscar, Ariane and George (who Exum was accomodating enough to shuffle some schedules so he could lead our climb) - were ready to hit the trail.

The photo above actually gives a pretty good overview of the route. The peaks are Middle Teton on the left, Mt. Owen on the right and Grand Teton in the middle. The trail goes up the valley to the saddle between the Middle and the Grand on the first day. From the base camp here, the serious climbing starts the next morning before dawn.
