Louisa Conner Davis
This is my Great-Grandmother Louisa Davis. The original of this image is a tin-type
that was taped into a paper sleeve upon which is written "Mother" on the front.
On the back, in my Father's handwriting it says:
This is the Grandma Davis that my Father (JD Bales) went to live with after his parents (BF and Ethel Bales) were killed in January 1927. See Early Family Recollections in the Family History section. I can estimate that this photo dates from sometime in the 1870's. |

Just as the picture above is of a young lady of 16, this photo is of her daughter also at the age of 16. This is my Grandmother, Ethel Davis. This would make the date of this photo sometime in 1902 (She was born 2/28/1886). |
