| You can hear the waterfalls as you approach the ruins, and they make a spectacular
backdrop to the whole site, but the closer you get, the more impressive they become. As
you come upon them, you can believe that the Incas found this a suitable place for the
worship of water. I'm not sure about the dimensions of the falls, but just from
standing under them I would say they look to be 18 or 20 meters high...
These waterfalls were certainly significant to the Incas as part of the ruins were a Temple dedicated to the spirit of the waterfalls...
