Compared to the two previous days, this third day on the trail is a walk in the park... The distance is only about 10 kilometers and while there is an uphill stretch from the campsite to the Third Pass, it's downhill from there. You can expect to reach the campsite near the Trekker's Hotel in time for a late lunch which is good, since that will give you most of the afternoon to explore Huinay Huayna, for me the most spectacular site on the trail.

The weather for us on this day was off and on... Started and ended nicely but the hike up and over the Third Pass was obscured by clouds. I understand that the view from the Third Pass is exceptionally nice when it's clear, since you have a nice vista in both directions from the Pass, so this gives me a good reason to go back! The walk through Phuyu Pata Marca and down the Inca Steps was also wet but I suppose that's appropriate given the name of the place: City Among the Clouds.
