Our (Old) House from Outer Space!

Our Neighborhood from Space! (21KB)

This is a picture of our old neighborhood, Bermuda Springs, taken by satelite and found on the Terraserver Site.   This is a great site with a huge database, searchable in multiple ways, that incorporates satelite images from the United States Geological Survey (USGS)
and the declassified SPIN-2 Russian mapping satelite photos. A good part of the United States is covered including every square inch of Florida.  Whether you want to find a familiar place or are just interested in the technology, this is definately worth a bookmark.

Bermuda Springs is typical of a lot of planned community developments in this part of the world.  There is a single entrance and the dark color outlining the neighborhood is the water which surrounds the community.  You can see the community pool and the elementary school (which is one reason why we chose this neighborhood - its only a couple of minutes away by foot).  The dots lining the street by the school are palm trees.  And if you look closely, that's me walking down the street by the entrance to the community...  (ha! made you look!).
