Life in South Florida!..  Bird of Paradise (9Kb)

We could fill quite a few pages with the stuff you tend to associate with living in this part of the country - South Beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach, even Disney World or Universal Studios.  And maybe we'll get around to that at some point; we certainly have enough photos of that kind of thing. But,  if you want to know about Disney World you can go to Disney.com.  On the other hand, there's more to the subtropical lifestyle than tourism and nightlife.

I thought it might be nice to highlight some of the natural elements of living around here.  From the exotic flora (the photo above if of a Bird of Paradise plant in my front yard!) to the birds in the sky to the gators in the swamp.

After you've lived here for a while, if you keep your eyes open, you come to appreciate the wide variety of exotic species, both plant and animal that surround you here.  I hope you enjoy the photos and info.
