Summer, 1953
As preliminary to the main event for the summer, we
spent a few days in Georgia to visit Mary Brannon and her family, while J.D. was in a
debate in Albany. Frances joined us, and we got away Wednesday morning, June 10.
The chief excitement of the day was running out of gas after dark and everything was
closed up.
We had a pleasant and interesting visit in Roswell,
left on Tuesday, June 16, driving as far as Birmingham that day. J.D. wanted
to visit with Bro. White. We stayed in a motel, left for home the next day, Wednesday,
June 17. |
